Performed at the Vancouver Tap Dance Festival
Tap Dancer. Performer. Choreographer. Speaker. Believer. Montreal native Travis Knights is realizing his dreams, pounding rhythms on wood floors all over the world. His talent and dedication have earned him audiences in Berlin, Genova, Chicago, New York, Washington D.C. and Vancouver to name a few. He has worked on film and television with Gregory Hines, Savion Glover, Patrick Huard and Gregory Charles.
In 2006, after earning his Bachelor's Degree in International Business, Travis made the decision to pursue his passion, and in the same year was tapped to be the principle dancer in the motion capture process for the video game adaptation of Warner Brother's Happy Feet. Since then, he's performed in Ayodele Casel's 'Diary of a Tap Dancer' at the Apollo Theatre, he was hired as a Tap consultant for Cirque du Soleil, a principle dancer in the touring show 'Wonderland: A Tap Tribute to Stevie Wonder', and most recently finished the biggest performance of his life at the Opening Ceremony to the Olympic Games in Vancouver.
Now hailing from Toronto, Travis is putting his career in high gear by tapping into his passion and working with the best of the best in the Tap Dance and Entertainment Industry. Watch out for him, because the best is yet to come.
